BILL WARD ORIGINAL LARGE 17"x23-1/2" CONTE CRAYON GOOD GIRL ART (HUMORAMA TYPE). And published by them at least once in "Fun House" magazine in 1969. This is a beautiful large piece of Bill's artwork. The art is drawn on thin paper taped to oaktag which was Bill's typical method when drawing the large conte crayon pieces he's so famous for, overall with the oaktag it measures 17" wide by 23-1/2" high (the drawing without the oaktag measures 15-1/2" by 21-1/2"). The original adhesive tape is still firmly in place adhering the drawing tightly to the oaktag. The condition overall is extremely nice except that there is some rippling on the right edge of the drawing which extends from the soldiers shoulder down to where Wards name is (it really does not effect the drawing and it does not appear to have been caused by any type of moisture because there is no evidence of any staining, it may have happened when the thin paper was taped to the oaktag because it does seem that Ward shaded right over the ripples also the rippling looks worse in the close-up photo than it does in person due to the angle of the shot and the magnification of the area). This is an outstanding and very "classy" example of Bill's work and just a great piece of "Good Girl" art. Please check our other listings for additional interesting items.
