WONDER WOMAN (1st Series From 1942) Issue #292, Page #12 Action Splash With Iconic Depiction Of Pestilence (FOUR HORSEMEN OF THE APOCALYPSE, --PLAGUE RIDER), With Citizens At Peachtree Plaza In Atlanta Dropping Like Flies, This Page Almost Vibrates With Energy! Wonder Woman is the very first succesful female hero in comics, dating back to the start of the golden-age with such famous books as All Star #8 and Sensation Comics #1, followed by Wonder Woman #1, which was the first title helmed by a female lead, and this incredible splash page is part of this same long-running series. Over the past eight decades she has emerged as the most iconic of all the heroines, and will surely be seen on the big screen, as the actors have already been confirmed.
Classic poses and attentive depictions in these well-rendered panels, including the death-stare of the dreaded horseman, this showpiece. Original Pencils and Inks To A Eye-Popping WW Page! This series has always appealed to fans of the DC comics, as well as those who like to see top icons by the artist that is the most well-remembered for the character. Keep in mind, all things about the superheroes such as Dark Knight and Supes and WW, including the early comic appearances, and this one-of-a-kind cult-classic item, are likely to continue to gain popularity, thanks in part to hit modern appearances in comics and graphic novels, and also planned film and/or TV projects. Beautiful Clean Line Art To An Exciting Tale From The Legendary Artist Himself, Beloved By DC And Marvel Fans Alike. Gene Colan AT HIS BEST, It Is A Masterpiece. This is one of those pieces you can enjoy immensely without having to read any of the surrounding pages, making it a superb stand-alone piece to frame and display. This page features tremendous dynamic imagery.
PLUS, ORIGINAL COMIC ART IS WAY LARGER THAN A MERE COMIC! Great detail work, with quality renditions of the insidious 4-Horsemen character and the instant-affliction of the human victimes, and the tightness of the inks is impressive! EACH PANEL IS LUSH, WITH THE ACTION AND EXPRESSIONS AND ELECTRIFIED BACKGROUNDS TELLING THE TALE WITH MINIMAL NEED FOR NARRATION.

This page is from DC COMICS, and in this case, the long-running Wonder Woman series. The originals to popular issues of this series are notoriously tough to get, and once one sells, it can be out of the market for decades. Any comic-art fan will want to see our other current auctions, featuring dozens of pieces, including vintage cover production art. THIS ARTWORK IS SUPPLE AND CLEAN AND WELL PRESERVED, PLEASE SEE THE INCLUDED PICTURES. This original piece of comic illustration art would be a great addition to the collection of any fan of the unique original artwork to vintage comics.

This is the ORIGINAL COMIC ART, which is far bigger in size than a comic book or a magazine. A whopping 11" by 17", and almost all of it's image-area, so you can imagine that every individual figure is substantial. A conversation piece of the highest order, you'll want to have this one framed and displayed prominently. Much too large for our scanner, this jaw-dropper is almost a foot wide and well over a foot tall, so I took a couple mediocre low-res pictures with the digital camera. One photograph shows the art alongside a random comic for scale.
The digital pictures make the piece appear dull and drab, when in reality it is clean and white, and especially striking in person. This actual one-off item was created by GENE COLAN & FRANK MCLAUGHLIN in 1982 for DC Comics to produce the entertaining story. This gorgeous showpiece is the original, none of it is mere "stats" or photocopies, -- it is especially striking since the inking was done to high standards, so it really emphasizes the high-impact images. This is one-of-a-kind material which would be a great acquisition for any fan of the old superhero comics or books, graphic novels and magazines! Extra fresh, bright, and clean; It has obviously been well-preserved so far.

Boasting lots of great details, this would be particularly impressive if it were framed and displayed, but it could also be stored for investment.
