MARK BAGLEY's 1ST PUBLISHED COMIC ARTWORK NM #9 ORIGINAL ART PAGE MARVEL COMICS
And check out OUR NEWLY LISTED ITEMS. If you are a Mark Bagley fan and many comic art collectors are! , then this is a special piece for you. This is an Original Art Page from Mark Bagley's very first published comic. 6 from Nightmask #9, published by Marvel Comics in 1987.
Bagley was the penciler, and the legendary Ernie Chan was the inker. Bagley is one of the absolute biggest name artists in comics, and is of course well-known for his classic work on Amazing Spiderman (following the runs of Todd McFarlane and Erik Larsen), and then his record run on the Ultimate Spider-man title with Brian Michael Bendis, as well as Venom. More recently he has now also done brilliant work for DC on Batman, Justice League of America, and Trinity. But here is a piece from where it all began.
What's also really cool is that this page spoiler alert! Is part of a dream within a dream. It features some great large splashy images, with a huge 1/3 splash at the top. The issue features a great story with multi-level dreaming, years before the movie Inception! Please note that the page is missing some of the word bubbles (in the top panel and panel 3). The page also has a clipped top edge, which is common on art from this period. This is an exceptional, historic, and unbelievably rare piece of Mark Bagley artwork, that would look fantastic framed and prominently displayed, and would be a key piece in any collection.
