Original Comic Book Art by NEAL ADAMS featuring GREEN LANTERN
Original Comic Art by Neal Adams. This four panel page artwork by NEAL ADAMS is from GREEN LANTERN/GREEN ARROW Team-up (2nd Series), Issue #82, page #20, March 1971, illustrating GREEN LANTERN when he meets his deadly , but alluring nightmare , MEDUSA and her little friends. It already had been signed by Adams (for another person) when I bought it in 1978 at the last San Francisco BayCon. Any Comic Book art fan probably is (or should be) familiar with Neal Adams's legend as an artist of the first rank. The same accolade could fit Premier Colorist , Steve Oliff , who had colored the page, and who also had signed it (again, for someone else). I cannot truthfully attest to these signatures, as I did not personally see the page being signed. I can say with much assurance, though, that they appear genuine as I have, or have had, other art with signatures and/or coloring of each that I did witness. The coloring by Steve is, in my opinion, very much better than the published page! (Approval Stamp, dated Oct 19, 1970, on back of page). There are neither defects nor diminished quality in inks or color. In other words, in my judgement, it is in excellent condition. The overall sheet dimensions are roughly 15 3/4" x 10 1/2", while the actual frame dimensions are 14 7/8" x 10".
