Original Splash Page Thor 1977 Steve Stiles & Mike Esposito Súper Spider Man UK
This Marvel UK magazine was reprinting small increments of US comic stories in each issue. As such, they always needed a new original art splash page and cover for the second half. So contrary to what the credits say on this page (as they are referring to the following pages), this page was actually created by Steve Stiles and Mike Esposito. We know this because of the initials in the sign-off box in the top margin.
It was for Pages 16-19 of the story "Houses Divided Cannot Stand" from The Avengers #121. This page was rendered in ink over graphite on Bristol board with an image area of 10" x 15" (that includes the paste-up header stat). The lettering on the page is all hand-lettered paste-up.
