Turner co-created Witchblade in 1995 with Image Comics founder Marc Silvestri and others. Turner's art has a strong following and there is never enough of it available to meet the demands of collectors. This is a nice example of Turner's work on one of Image's most enduring characters in the iconic RED DRESS.The series follows Sara Pezzini, a NYPD homicide detective who comes into possession of the Witchblade, a supernatural, sentient bracelet which bonds with a female host and provides them with a variety of powers in order to fight supernatural evil. Sara Pezzini first appeared in Cyblade/Shi: The Battle For Independence (1995). Michael Turner was one of the most beloved artists of his generation. Not only could he draw better than just about any of his peers, but he put so much effort into every drawing Michael won the hearts of comic fans in the 1990s and early 2000s. Unfortunately, Michael left us far too early when he passed away at the age of 37 in 2008.
Because his work is relatively small in quantity and has very high demand, it has become difficult to acquire.
