Swamp Thing Original Art Splash Page! (Unsigned) The guy I got this from said that this was drawn for a swamp thing board game.
Dont know if for promotional or board game art. Mario Menjavar pencils with Alfredo Alcala art. The piece, nice contrast between the lettering and the subject matter. I loved how the "Swamp Thing" title acts as framing device strengthening the piece even more. Its so cool how he made the hand form from the above swamp matter reaching out to the viewer.
The face seems a little ambiguous which is awesome because art is subjective and each viewer will see it differently. Its awesome because you can either see it as swamp thing about to strangle someone or, he's longing for something. Longing for a particular someone or maybe longing to be human again to be part of society..... Such an awesome piece though.
